Innovating Wireless BYOD and Beyond
Introducing the Atlona Wireless Audio Visual Environment (WAVE™) and the AT-WAVE-101, an innovative wireless presentation system designed for quick and easy content sharing from up to four PCs or mobile devices. The WAVE-101 is designed for effortless screen casting with iOS, Android, Mac, Chromebook, and Windows devices.
The versatility of the WAVE-101 expands well beyond BYOD content sharing, with a host of additional features to enhance education, corporate, and many other applications.
Wireless BYOD applications
Open Areas and Meeting Spaces
The WAVE-101 allows up to four people to share content from their devices simultaneously. It’s a great complement to the increasing trend of providing open gathering areas where colleagues or students can use for informal meetings or collaboration.

Classrooms
The WAVE-101 allows multiple students to share their screens, with the instructor controlling the presentation through a specially designed moderator mode. This device can also be used to enhance instruction with local media or YouTube content playback, and reach out to remote students by livestreaming over YouTube.
Meeting Spaces
For new installations, the WAVE-101 and a display provide a simple yet efficient AV integration solution for presenters to share right from their mobile devices. For existing AV systems, the WAVE-101 offers an ideal upgrade opportunity to add wireless AV and many other capabilities such as digital signage playback.

Details
The Atlona AT-WAVE-101 is a wireless presentation and collaboration platform designed for easy content sharing with iOS®, Android™, Mac®, Chromebook™, and Windows® devices. The WAVE-101 allows up to four presenters to share their content simultaneously on-screen, with an Instructor Mode available for managing additional presenters and selecting which to be displayed. Wireless BYOD interfacing is simply enabled through the device’s native casting protocol (such as AirPlay®, Google Cast™, or Miracast™), without the need to install an app. For hands-free, effortless user operation, Dynamic Layout Mode™ is an innovative feature of the WAVE-101 that automatically adapts the on-screen layout to new incoming or disconnected source content. The WAVE-101 is equipped with a host of other convenient features for integrators and end users, including programmable display control, display of user-uploaded images and video media, YouTube™ Live streaming, support for cloud-based digital signage applications, and much more.
Wireless BYOD Connectivity
The WAVE-101 interfaces with a presenter’s iOS, Android, Mac, Chromebook, or Windows device over Wi-Fi®, and allows screen mirroring from up to four devices without the need to install an app. It can serve as an integrated, dual band access point, or be networked into an existing Wi-Fi installation. The WAVE-101 can provide simultaneous Wi-Fi and Miracast™ (Wi-Fi Direct®). In addition, the WAVE-101 supports Miracast over Infrastructure which allows Miracast over a facility Wi-Fi network or LAN, rather than over a direct wireless link. Please click here for complete information about wireless AV connectivity with the WAVE-101. (Note: One Miracast device connection is available at a time when a wireless P2P, or peer-to-peer connection is made to the WAVE-101.)
(Note: Casting is not supported for apps with protected content (DRM), such as Netflix®, Hulu®, and HBO® Max™.)
Applications
- Classrooms – The WAVE-101 includes several features ideal for classroom instruction, such as managing multiple student presenters, the ability to broadcast an instruction session live over YouTube, and playback of local multimedia or YouTube source content.
- Meeting and gathering spaces – The WAVE-101 is compact and can be discreetly installed near any available display. It is ideal for ad-hoc collaboration sessions in which presenters can share content through simple instructions on the welcome screen – including a PIN code for security.
- Add-on to existing AV systems – This presentation device can be added into an AV switcher or matrix switcher, enhancing a new or existing system with wireless BYOD from multiple participants.

Wireless BYOD presentations for up to four participants
The WAVE-101 features an integrated wireless access point to allow direct, peer-to-peer screen casting from up to four mobile devices or laptops. The WAP can be disabled if IT security policy requires connection to the facility network.

Wireless BYOD add-on for any system
Enhance a new or existing AV system with wireless BYOD and other capabilities of the WAVE-101. The AT-OME-SR21 receiver includes a local HDMI input, ideal for installing this product behind a wall-mounted display.

Automate display powering with occupancy sensor
Use the Atlona AT-OCS-900N with the WAVE-101 to automatically power up or down a display, based on detection of participants in the room.
