Detailed Description
The SEQ is SurgeX's power sequencer combined with surge protection: it switches groups of equipment on and off in the correct order and with configurable delays, while blocking surges with Advanced Series Mode. It features 2 always-on outlets and 4 programmable banks, plus 1 "virtual" bank for controlling other cascaded SEQ units.
Key features
- Power-on in sequence (processor/preamp first, amplifiers last), power-off in reverse order
- Staggered turn-on times → prevents cumulative inrush current from tripping the breaker
- Advanced Series Mode + Impedance Tolerant EMI/RFI filtering (both line–neutral and common–ground modes)
- ICE: inrush current elimination; COUVS: automatic shutdown on severe over/under-voltage
Protects: Amplifiers, processors and source devices in AV racks — preventing loud "pops" through the speakers and breaker trips when powering up the whole system.
