Full HDR Support – With a wide selection of built-in HDR EDIDs, HDR can be activated on capable displays regardless of infrastructure limitations. This provides design flexibility and maximizes project budgets by delivering HDR content precisely where needed.

Fixed Output Up/Down Scaling – Most AVRs, matrix switchers, and peripherals lack scaling capabilities, typically forcing 4K systems to match the maximum resolution of the oldest or most basic display in the chain. Even with a high-end 4K matrix lacking a scaler, you would normally have to degrade the entire system to accommodate legacy displays. The AC-SC2-AUHD-GEN2 solves this challenge. Place the scaler ahead of the legacy display to enjoy native 4K content on high-end screens while simultaneously feeding the appropriate resolution to other displays. The fixed output allows for a true "set it and forget it" workflow. For instance, if you have a 720P display, simply configure the AC-SC2-AUHD-GEN2 to 720P, and any incoming signal will be automatically scaled up or down to 720P.

NOTE: Only 2CH stereo audio is supported when scaling is active.\n\nInterlaced to Progressive Scaling – This advanced technology helps installers overcome problematic 1080i sources by converting interlaced video signals into progressive formats. For example, users can convert a 1080i 2CH source to 1080P, 4K 30Hz, 4K 60Hz 4:2:0, or 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 on demand.

Adaptive Scaling Mode – This EXCLUSIVE AVPro Edge technology was specifically engineered to resolve compatibility issues with legacy sources, such as set-top boxes outputting 720P 2CH or 1080i 2CH. Sink devices often experience stability issues when legacy formats are introduced into modern, high-bandwidth distribution systems. Adaptive Scaling Mode automatically converts all HDMI input signals below 1080P up to 1080P. When enabled, only 2CH audio is supported; however, Adaptive Scaling Mode transparently bypasses 4K, HDR, and multichannel audio signals without alteration. This enables seamless integration of legacy sources into modern AV infrastructures.

The Most Advanced EDID Management – Featuring 16 pre-loaded EDID profiles ranging from legacy resolutions (480) up to full 4K and HDR options, this device offers an unmatched combination of EDID tools. In addition, the AC-SC2-AUHD-GEN2 includes a custom user EDID slot for maximum flexibility and future-proofing, as well as an EDID bypass mode to utilize the sink device's native EDID.

L/R Audio De-Embedding – The AC-SC2-AUHD-GEN2 features a dedicated audio output port, allowing audio to be extracted at any point in the system and routed to where it is needed most. Multiple units can also be combined to de-embed multiple audio streams from various sources and outputs.

NOTE: The extracted audio output supports 2CH PCM only and does not perform downmixing. For downmixing applications, please refer to the AC-AVDM-AUHD or our AXION series of matrix switchers.\n\nOn-Board Troubleshooting – The unit includes a built-in test pattern generator capable of outputting 720P, 1080P, or 4K test patterns to quickly diagnose external system issues (source, repeater, displays, etc.). Installers can instantly verify cabling integrity and troubleshoot problems efficiently without guessing whether the source or sink device is operating correctly.
