Description\n\nThe AC-MX-82RM is an 8×2 HDMI matrix switcher, perfect for any home theater. Supporting HDMI 2.0(a/b), HDCP 2.3, up to 4K video resolution, and up to 18 Gbps bandwidth. This switch allows any source (Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray, satellite receiver, game consoles, PCs, etc … ) to be shown on any connected display. This matrix equalizes and amplifies the output to ensure the HDMI signal can be transmitted through long HDMI cables without losing quality.\n\nThe AC-MX-82RM is ideal for bypassing AVRs that do not support full 18Gbps.  You can bypass uncompressed HDMI to the display while running down-scaled video into a legacy AVR.  Only video is reduced, and audio remains untouched, making it an ideal component for systems where high bit-rate audio is critical.\n\n* key benefits\n* specs\n* resources\n* in the box\n\nIdeal for overcoming AVR problems – In today’s fast moving, high-bandwidth, video market there is often a need to send high bitrate, bit stream audio into AVR’s to take advantage of audio advances like Dolby Atmos or DTS-X.  The problem is the AVR’s, while especially well suited for audio, lack the robust ability to manage high-bandwidth HDR video.  This simple switch will allow you bypass full, un-scaled, uncompressed video on to displays or projectors and simultaneously down-scale one output to lower bandwidth video while maintaining the original untouched audio codecs, making it ideal for sending this second HDMI signal into an AVR.\n\nAuto-Switching (Conferencing) – Ideally suited for conference rooms or environments where you want the matrix to simply switch to the active input, or activate when a device is plugged in.  BYOD applications are growing, and this unit is ideally suited to manage this type of environment.\n\nAuto switching mode can be configured:\n\n* Both outputs auto switch together\n* Only one output auto switches.\n* NOTE – In either mode output 1 can be down-scaled to accommodate a room where one display is 1080P and another is 4K.\n\n4K Up/Down Scaling – This technology is managed on output two.  This will allow you to downscale 4K sources to 1080p.  This completely eliminates the problem that all other matrices have that forces them to “dumb down” the entire system even if there is only one old 1080P display.\n\nExtreme EDID Management – With 29 on board EDID’s, including HDR EDID’s,  not getting a picture is simply a thing of the past.  You can manage the input side of the switch by selecting a preloaded EDID.  We also have the ability to INSTANTLY read an EDID from any connected display and apply it to the desired input, all with the push of a button.  Goodbye EDID problems…\n\nDual Audio De-Embedding – Our unique Audio De-Embedding allows:\n\n* The user can extract 2 Channel audio from the L/R Ports.  NOTE:  the Analog Port only supports 2CH PCM  – for down-mixing check out AC-AVDM-AUHD or our AXION line of matrix switchers.\n* It features a digital optical toslink output for support for 7CH LPCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital +, DTS, DTS Master Audio.\n* Extracted audio routing is bound to the output of your choosing (extracted audio switches with the video)\n\n| | |\n| --- | --- |\n| Video: | |\n| Video Resolutions | Up to 4k 60HZ 4:4:4 |\n| VESA Resolutions | Up to DCI 4k (4096×2160) 5k (Up to 5120×3200) |\n| HDR Formats/Resolutions | 420, 422, 444 (10 and 12 Deep Color) HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG |\n| Color Space | YUV (Component), RGB (CSC: Rec. 601, Rec. 709, BT2020, DCI, P3 D6500) |\n| Chroma Subsampling | 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0 Supported |\n| Deep Color | Up to 16 bit (1080), up to 12 BIT (4k) |\n| Audio: | |\n| Audio Formats Supported HDMI | PCM 2.0 Ch, LPCM 5.1 & 7.1, Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-X, Dolby Atmos |\n| Audio Formats Supported Extracted (TOSLINK) | PCM 2.0 Ch, LPCM 6 CH, LPCM 7 CH, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus |\n| Audio Formats Supported Extracted (2CH Port) | PCM 2 CH |\n| Audio Extraction Location | Follows OUTPUT (Selectable) |\n| Distance: | |\n| HDMI IN/OUT (4K60 4:4:4) | Up to 50 Feet (Using Bullet Train HDMI) |\n| HDMI IN/OUT (W/ AOC Cable) (4k60 4:4:4) | Up to 130 Feet (Using Bullet Train AOC) |\n| Other: | |\n| Bandwidth | 18Gbps |\n| HDCP | HDCP 2.3 and Earlier |\n| Control: | |\n| Ports | LAN, RS232, IR Window |\n| Drivers | C4, RTI, ELAN, CRESTRON, URC |\n| LAN Web OS | YES |\n| Ports: | |\n| HDMI | Type A |\n| LAN | RJ45 w/ Web Interface/ Control |\n| Audio (Extracted Digital) | Toslink |\n| Audio (Extracted Analog) | L/R Audio |\n| IR RX | Window Only (Remote Included) |\n| RS232 | 3 Pin Terminal Block |\n| Environmental: | |\n| Operating Temperature | 23 to 125°F (-5 to 51°C) |\n| Storage Temperature | -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C) |\n| Humidity Range | 5-90% RH (No Condensation) |\n| Power: | |\n| Power Consumption (Total) | 12 Watts Max |\n| Power Supply – Matrix | Input: AC 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz Output: DC 12V  2A |\n| Dimensions: | |\n| Dimensions (Unit Only – Height/Depth/Width) | mm: 20.5 x 94 x 232.98 inch: .9 x 3.7 x 9.17 |\n| Dimensions (Packaged Height/Depth/Width) | mm: 86.61 x 171.45 x 482.6 inch: 3.41 x 6.75 x 19 |\n| Weight (Unit) | 3.2 lbs.
